Brief

To expand the practice reach and increase their patient list by developing and implementing a targeted marketing plan.

Key strategies included:

  • Leveraging the patient database to increase income

  • Increase Denplan membership

  • Packages and monthly promotions e.g. Smile Month, Bridal, Air Polishing, ‘walk-in’ hygiene

  • Targeting younger patients

  • Increase profile in the Denton area as well as other Manchester districts

  • Create additional footfall and new income stream with Facial Aesthetics

 

Solution

A Marketing Plan and 12 month schedule was devised to focus on (a) internal marketing, to include increased on-line communications with patients on the database, improved recall procedures and the creation of promotional literatureand (b) increasing awareness of First Dental Care in the local community.  

Providing strong implementation support to work closely with First Dental Care’s team, we created a comprehensive set of leaflets, posters and flyers to inform current patients (both NHS and private) about available treatments, post regular Social Media updates such as Facebook and Twitter and design and deliver e-newsletters (using MailChimp) to the patient list as well as provide ‘hands-on’ marketing support for the practice.

With robust Internal Marketing activity in place and working well, we expanded to target new patients with carefully planned tactics using a combination of local newspaper ads, PR, joint ventures and website updates designed to increase ‘traffic’.
